Past Tense


What is Past Tense ??

Past Tense is one of tenses in english grammer, this used to express an accident/even at the past time.

The Rule :
S + V2 + Adv/O


Example :
- I gave a management task yesterday


Where :
I = S
gave = V2 from "give"
management task = O
yesterday = Adverb of time.


Other examples :

- I went to jakarta last week ago
explanation : "Went" is V2 from "Go"

- He posted many articles in this forum
- He took his sallary last night

Invitation


What is Invitation ??
Invitation is a way to invite some one or more to go to a place or to do something.
There’re two types of invitation:
1.    Formal Invitation
Formal invitation is usually orginate from institutes companies and a kind of it normaly formal invitation is writen
2.    Iinformal Invitation
Informal invitation is personal invitation given to a friend, family,etc. Informal invitation can be writen invitation and verbal invitation
Example about verbal invitation:
·       I would you like to…?
·       Lets go..
·       Can you come…?
·       How would you like to go..?
·       Are you free this morning..??
Example of infitation… in dialouge:
       Berkat: ido can you come to my hause to doing we’re home works together??
       Ido      : ya… What time ??
       Berkat: on 14:00 WIB
       Ido      : okay,,, you wait for me at 13:00 WIB in your home..
       Berkat: see you…

Gainning Attention


What is Gainning Attention ??
Is a way or expression that is spoken so that other people will pay their attention to what we want to.
Examples:
 
Attention, please!
 May/can I have your attention, please?
 Excuse me!
 Look here!
 Waiter?Listen to me, please!
 I’m sorry but,. .
 Wow, really?
 I’m listening
Example Gainning Attention in dialogue:
Teacher: hi guys!! Attention, please!
Student: yes.. ma’am!!

RECOUNT TEXT

What is recount text ??
Recount text is a recount is a text which list and describe past experiences by retelling events in the order in which they happened (chronological order). The purpose of the Recounts text is to retell events with the purpose of either informing or entertaining their audience (or both).

The basic recount consists of three parts:
- the setting or orientation - background information answering who? when? where? why?
- events are identified and described in chronological order.
- reorientation which is concluding comments express a personal opinion regarding the events described

The language features of the recount text are:
- the language is written in simple past tense
- frequent use is made of words which link events in time, such as next, later, when, then, after, before, first,

Recount text can be occur in the form of personal recount (such as biography), factual recount, or imaginative recount. The major difference between recount and narrative text is the generic structure. If a passage doesn't have a conflict and it retells past events, that is called as a recount text.

Example of recount text:
Last Friday I and sean played rain in the middle of the field school, we are so glad because before that we are don’t have this moment….. I’m so glad…
